The consented Ballydonagh (planning Ref: 23/61049) and Ballydonagh Extension (planning Ref: 24/61749) solar farms are located in c1.2km east of Kiltormer town, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

Ballydonagh Solar Limited is owned by L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) with RES acting as planning and development consultant.

The Ballydonagh Solar Farm is expected to provide enough power for ca. 20,000 homes and abate 23,000tns of CO₂ annually.

Ballydonagh Solar Limited propose to submit amendment planning applications to Galway County Council to amend the previously consented developments (23/61049 and 24/61749). The proposed amendments will seek minor modifications to the consented developments.

A Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) application for a 110kV substation and grid connection within Ballydonagh Solar Farm will be submitted to An Coimisiún Pleanála in the early 2026.
